On Sunday 16^th May, 36,000 runners took to the streets of Manchester for the Bupa 10k Run. Amongst the 36,000 were 40 runners from the Morson Group each with their own level of fitness and determination. For some it was their first 10k, others were simply trying to beat their time from the previous year and a few motivated individuals showed their competitive streak by finishing the course in less than 45 minutes!

The weather was slightly overcast and cool; perfect weather for a mini marathon! Whilst none of Team Morson quite lived up to the 28 minutes and 2 seconds of Haile Gabrselassie, there were several impressive times with most runners finishing in under an hour.

Sponsorship money is still being collected but hopes are high that 2010's Team Morson will have raised even more than 2009 for our two official charities; North West Air Ambulance and Brainwave:

North West Air Ambulance finances two state of the art helicopters to fly out seven days a week, 365 days a year on vital life saving missions covering 5,500 square miles and a residential population of seven million people. It costs nearly £4 million per year to maintain both aircraft, all of which is generously donated by members of the public.

Brainwave is a charity that helps children with developmental delay, genetic disorders and brain injury between 6 months and 12 years old.
