the Morson stand
Morson International attended the Railtex exhibition at Earls Court in London on the 10th, 11th and 12th March. The event was opened by Rail Minister Lord Andrew Adonis with Simon Kirby (Network Rail's Director of Infrastructure Investment), Jeremy Candfield (Director General of the Rail Industry Association) and Lord Tony Berkeley (Chairman of the Rail Freight Group) also taking part.
We had optimistic hopes about the level of turnout but were still pleasantly surprised by the number of visitors. A total of 8257 rail industry professionals from 47 countries attended, enabling Morson to really put ourselves out there in terms of what we can offer both clients and candidates.
The event catered for every rail need - with track, PPE, training, station fittings, rail advertising, recruitment and much more filling the exhibition site.
Exhibition Manager Michael Wilton commented: "The upbeat mood at the exhibition and the positive response from the industry to railtex are both very pleasing. It was also a measure of the success of the event that we drew the visitors that exhibitors expected to see."
Visitors to the Morson stand were given the chance to enter a prize draw for a signed Man Utd or Chelsea shirt. The winner was Lee Davis, Contracts Director at Costain - congratulations Lee!
The Morson stand was well attended and we have generated a lot of industry links with whom we hope to work with in the future.
