Morson Group, the UK's leading supplier of Engineers, Technical Personnel and outsourced design services to the infrastructure, rail, nuclear, aerospace and defence sectors, is pleased to announce the opening of its new Engineering Centre in Weavers Court, Belfast, Northern Ireland ("Weavers Court").

Opened yesterday, by the renowned Manchester United Manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, the new Engineering Centre at Weavers Court will undertake specialist Aerospace and Defence Engineering for Morson clients including Bombardier Aerospace, Airbus, GE aviation (UK and US), Aermacchi (Italy) and Rolls Royce, supporting 150 engineering positions in the region. As well as Aerospace Engineering, it is anticipated that the new centre will provide a focus for engineering support for the new aircraft carrier (CVF) programme in Belfast.

Supported by Invest Northern Ireland, part of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment, Morson has opened the new centre close to universities who are carrying out leading edge research in Aerospace and Defence technologies and educating the next generation of design engineers.
