The Morson Group have continued their policy of backing local sporting talent by supporting David Horsey, one of the rising talents of European golf.
David has already made a significant impact on the European Tour by finishing fifth in the Australian Masters on his debut in November and then 30th in the New Zealand Open.
His result in the Mastercard Masters in Australia included a brilliant seven-under-par 65 to finish fifth, four shots behind the winner, Aaron Baddeley.
The result in Australia caps a great year for Horsey who played a major part in the GB & Ireland team Walker Cup challenge alongside Rory McIlroy who also turned professional late in 2007.
The 22-year-old Styal player has taken advice from his Manager, Chubby Chandler to try to win a card on the fast-developing Asian tour by lining up a number of events in Malaysia over the coming weeks.
David is managed by the Mere-based ISM (www.golfism.net) which includes a large number of the top players in World golf.
Commenting on the news, CEO Ged Mason said
"Wwe are delighted to be backing David Horsey and were delighted with his fabulous result in Australia. David joins the likes of Ricky Hatton and Sale Sharks who Morson are immensely proud to sponsor. Morson are committed to backing up and coming local sporting talent and look forward to seeing more success for David in 2008.
