Learning and Development Advisor

A major UK-based construction company supplying high-value consultancy, engineering, and project management services to the world's natural resources, nuclear, clean energy, water and environmental sectors in around 40 countries around the globe.

They are now looking to recruit a Learning and Development Advisor.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement graduate and apprentice learning schemes
• Ensure that graduate and apprentice quarterly reviews are up to date
• Liaise with the business to ensure that learning schemes meet the business needs
• Work with the HR function to support in the recruitment and selection of graduates and apprentices
• Liaise with universities, colleges, schools and professional institutions
• Coordinate and evaluate training programmes
• Design learning and development solutions which are appropriate for the individual through effective consultation with our business partners.
• Support the company work experience programme
• Produce monthly reports

Knowledge / Experience
• Experience of developing and implemented business and individual learning and development programmes
• Ability to evaluate learning programmes to ensure continuous improvement
• Understanding of qualification structures and the QCF
• Working knowledge of ECUK UK-SPEC standards for competences and commitment against which a professional engineer will be assessed for CEng registration by the Engineering Council
• Working knowledge of other professional bodies such as APM, RICS and ACostE
• Working knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate with and influence others
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Willingness to travel with overnight stays
