Project Engineer - Suspension & Steering
We are recruiting for the leader in automotive design and manufacturing, our client now requires a experienced project engineer to specialise on suspension and steering.

Here are the main duties of this role:
Purpose of the Role: Project management of Chassis Systems to meet project targets for performance, cost, timing and weight.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Manage delivery of components and component systems from concept to SOP + 90 days
- Liaise with Analysis / Test Teams to meet project targets
- Responsible for cost • piece price and investment, quality and timing of components
- Manage cross functional team including designers, buyers, manufacturing engineers in order to achieve above
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience of OEM or tier one component delivery
- Management of component delivery within a APQP or six sigma or similar framework, including FMEA, component planning and PPAP
- Proven leadership of an engineering team
- Management of supplier commercial contracts and deliverables
- Catia V5 literate
- Mechanical or Automotive Engineering Degree 2:1 or above
- Chartered Engineer
- PRINCE or similar project management qualifications
- Background in low volume, high performance sports or racing cars preferred

- Ability to motivate and gain respect
