Effectively and efficiently utilise available resources to maintain the integrity and safety of the clients business through the application of rigorous asset management procedures and risk evaluation. Delivering innovative solutions which conserve and enhance the heritage and environment.
Purpose of Role
Oversee the safe implementation of M&E work programmes. Manage a team and hold responsibility for M&E activities ensuring that the team achieves plans and targets and works efficiently and safely. Driving efficiency and ensuring compliance with company standards.
Lead by example, encourage the team to take responsibility for safety of colleagues, themselves, and customers. Comply with Health & Safety policy and defined standards. Undertake risk assessments, report incidents, accidents and near misses. Ensure safe use of appropriate equipment, prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements ensuring contents are understood and acted upon through appropriate record keeping system.
Working outside deliver the agreed M&E work programme, maintaining M&E plant and equipment across the business unit, working on time and within budget using appropriate resources.
Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with defined standards including legal or statutory requirements. Comply with safety, customer service standards, environment and heritage standards and procedures and policies.
NVQ Level IV (HND) or equivalent in mechanical and/or electrical engineering or Operational Management.
NEBOSH Certificate (General) •
C&G Wiring Regulations, C&G Inspection and Test.
Previous experience of managing a team. Competent to supervise people who operate and maintain plant/tools and equipment.
Good understanding of Health & Safety Policy, Principles, Standards, Procedures and Guidance documents.
Heritage awareness relevant to environment eg awareness of effects of invasive vegetation on heritage assets.
Proficient in the use of a personal computer and business applications software eg MS Office. SAP skills and knowledge.
Drive & Survive Driver Risk Assessment
Valid driving licence appropriate for vehicle to be driven.
